Information Security Awareness Training

What is it?

Information Security Awareness Training is a process to ensure that your employees realise the risks to your business information and understand and accept their specific responsibilities in protecting it. Effective training should explain current hacking techniques as well as best security practice for protecting desktop and mobile devices from things like spyware, botnets, viruses and phishing attacks. A good program heightens employee attentiveness to the significant security risks to your business and explains the simple day-to-day things that can be done to mitigate that risk.

Why should I do this?

Unfortunately, whether through ignorance or actual malicious intent, employees are still the biggest security risk to an organisation’s information assets. Consequently, security awareness training is perhaps the most direct, efficient and cost-effective way to reduce the risks to your systems. It is also internationally recognised best practice and required for compliance to virtually all governance risk and compliance frameworks.

How often should I do it?

Information Security Awareness Training should be provided to all employees upon joining and then at least annually thereafter.

Do I need to do anything in advance?

The service is charged on a per year, per employee basis so just give us the number of years you’d like us to provide the training (quantity) and the number of employees requiring training (users) when getting your quote. Our Factory Foreman will then call you to set everything up.
